Colour

Rotate hue and adjust saturation, more selectively than Color Balance.

Hue rotation and saturation, separated from brightness and contrast so you can move colour without touching tone.

Same artwork either side, so the difference you see is the effect. Built with the same SVG-filter primitives the product uses, but tuned for legibility at this size — treat it as a faithful illustration of the behaviour rather than a pixel-exact capture of the editor.

When to reach for it#

  • Recolouring artwork without redrawing it.
  • Desaturating a background so a subject stands out.
  • Animating a hue cycle.

Parameters#

Huehue#

Degrees of rotation around the colour wheel. Keyframe it from 0 to 360 for a full cycle that loops seamlessly.

Saturationsaturation#

Scales colour intensity. −100 is fully grey.

Lightnesslightness#

Shifts toward white or black without changing the hue.
