Melt Flow

Liquid & Distort

The layer melts and drips like liquid — viscosity, necking tails, detached droplets and a pool, lit with a wet sheen

Drawn by the same renderer the editor uses, on a stand-in silhouette. Your layer's own shape, colours and backdrop will change the result.

Controls#

Every control the Shaders tab draws for this effect, with the ranges and defaults it actually uses — read from the shader's own schema, so this table cannot fall out of date. Controls marked conditional only appear once a related setting enables them.

Presets#

Presets set several controls at once. They are starting points, not modes — everything stays editable afterwards.

Things that catch people out#

Composition order matters

Melt runs on the rendered layer, so effects applied before it get melted too and effects after it do not. Reorder the stack if the glow is melting when it should not be.
