RGB Split

Stylize

Offset the colour channels for chromatic aberration.

Draws the red, green and blue channels at slightly different positions. A small offset reads as a lens artefact; a large one reads as a glitch.

Same artwork either side, so the difference you see is the effect. Built with the same SVG-filter primitives the product uses, but tuned for legibility at this size — treat it as a faithful illustration of the behaviour rather than a pixel-exact capture of the editor.

When to reach for it#

  • Glitch and digital-corruption looks.
  • A touch of lens realism on an otherwise clean composite.
  • Impact frames, by keyframing a large offset for two or three frames.

Parameters#

Offsetoffset#

Separation in pixels. Under 2 px is a subtle lens feel. Over 10 px is unmistakably an effect.

Angleangle#

Direction of the separation.

Channelschannels#

Which pair moves. Red/blue is the natural-looking option, since that is what real chromatic aberration does. Other pairings read as deliberately synthetic.
